Black Hat Software: Mass Article Control Review: Taking Article Marketing to the Next Level

  • Anon · 4 months ago
    Hi,

I wondered if you would do a review of linkfarmevolution.com from the creators of YACG. I have no personal connection with them but would like to see what you think.
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
I didn't know he released this. It looks great on paper. I don't think I will buy it just to review it though. At $297 that's a lot for just a test shot. I might ask him if he'll let me do a test shot and see what he says.

    Thanks for the info.

    Thanks Mike,

I certainly think it looks great, I don't know if you ever used autopligg from syndk8.net. That worked out really well for me and put a lot of link building power in my hands, but its not as good as it used to be because it can't break "recaptcha" which nearly all pligg sites now use. I'm thinking this could be a great replacement.

    Mike,

I have found that www.articlemarketer.com is the best for article distribution ever since isnare.com went down.
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
I used to use Article Marketer a few years ago until the duplicate content penalty started hitting me on different sites. With Article Marketer you do get a great service for marketing your articles to a ton of sites. The problem? One article. With these other techniques you are getting your backlinks from multiple unique (relatively) articles. This gives your backlinks more push.

Plus, you also have the ability to use mutiple sets of Anchor text keywords in your Author reference box. This helps push your ranking up in Google and other search engines for more than one keyword.

Believe me. I have been there and learned these lessons already. In fact, if you look in the Sidebar to your right, you will see that I am getting ready to push this simple blog into the Alexa top 50,000 websites. I practice what I preach and it works.

    Thanks for the comments!

Boy you are really in the tank for Mass Article Submitter. I don't know why; in my own testing about 20-25% of the time MAS can't get the links into the article page. What is the point then?
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
I am not as concerned with MAS as I am with Mass Article Creator. Like I said, MAS only submits to 10 directories and I can do the same thing with SENuke and UAW. MAS was only thrown into that product package to entice more buyers anyway. The meat is in the rewriter.

I am reviewing a few more tools right now as well, so stay tuned for an update over the next few days as I get more time to work with them.

    Thanks for the Comments!

As I was running errands this morning I realized that I answered this comment quickly and didn't really address the actual meat of what you were saying and that was the amount of links in the article page and Mass Article Submitter itself.

First: I have used Mass Article Submitter a bunch of times without issue. Are you operating behind a firewall? Is your connection speed good?

Second: Most of the article sites themselves do not accept links in the body of the article. They only allow links in the Author Resource box. Is this what you were talking about?

Otherwise You couldn't be more wrong. Now, do I think that MAS itself is the best submitter I have ever used? Definitely not. But the Mass Article Creator is definitely solid. Like I said in my previous comment though, I am testing another Article Spinner and I absolutely love it, but I am going to work it a little more before I say it is better than the Mass Article Creator.

I've done extensive testing of the MAS 20 site version. 20-25% of article submissions don't get my links placed. Yes, I understand that many sites only allow links in the resource box.

    I don't need a spinner.

I wanted to really like the MAS submitter. There are two types of tools - all in 1 - and single purpose tools. You've got to stitch together the latter, and the former has many more potential failure points. If I can get a good all-in-1 tool, great. But I love simple tools that just work.

The MAS submitter looks like a simple tool that just works. And it does indeed submit quickly and painlessly. A couple of the widgets could work just a little better, but its a tidy little tool. But if those resource box links don't show up, the tool is worthless.

I do also wonder why the two tools don't have some integration - you'd think the submitter could take the output of the spinner and handle submitting 20 spins of a single main article to the directories. But since I don't care much about the submitter its not really for me to moan about this.
  • Dave · 4 months ago
Ack! In last paragraph, I meant to say "But since I don't care much about the SPINNER its not really for me to moan about this". Mea culpa.
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
    Dave,

I just finished using a new submitter with an integrated Spinner and it works great. It submits to around 711 Article Directories and does it fast. It doesn't submit to tthe top 10 like MAS does and that is the only drawback. I am posting the review on Monday after I get a chance to make a quick video.

When you say you are generating a ton of traffic with this technique, how much traffic do you mean per day?
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
There isn't a specific amount. It is based on the niche and the keyword and is different for each site I promote. But, if you use this technique you will see a 25% or more incease in traffic if you submit an article every 3-4 days over the course of a month for your chosen 2-3 targeted keywords you are promoting for your site. It is not instantaneous. Article Marketing can get you instant traffic but it depends on your Article, the Title, the Content, and most importantly: The Keywords and the Keyword Competition you face. These are all factors.

The bottom line is this: It works.
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
For this site specifically, I increased my unique number of visitors by 200 per day over the course of 30 days.

If you have been watching my site or check Alexa's wayback machine, you will see this blog has increased its Alexa Rank from over 100,000 5 months ago and I hope to have it below 50,000 soon. That is in just a few months.

    These techniques work. Believe me.
  • Eric · 4 months ago
    Okay I believe you :)

So your recommendation is to submit an article every 3-4 days with UAW targeting a different kw each time, or just 1-2 kws for all the articles?

The 200 per day increase was on this blackhat site or another niche? Does the traffic die down once you stop submitting articles?

    Thanks!
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
Yes, just 2-3 keyword anchor text variations at first. If you do too many, you won't see the type of results I am talking about. Use keyword phrases, not single words. SIngle words are not targeted enough. Use specific terms you want to rank for, but be realistic. I used to market strictly through EzineArticles, but I haven't in months. I still get traffic from those articles. You will generate trafic though the articles themselves, but more importantly through your increase in Search Engine rank.

The 200 per day increase was for this site specifically. I rank for over 25 keywords specifically for this site. I have people using KeywordSpy on my site constantly trying to see what I'm doing. The secret is no secret. Just do it. Use Social Bookmarking and Web 2.0 through SNuke and UAW, along with the top tier Article Directories you get with the Mass Article Control Submitter and you will have success.

The biggest mistake people make is they want too much right away and they submit 7 articles a day with 7 completely unrelated keywords for 4 different sites and then they say: This crap doesn't work!

Wrong. You have to stay targeted and work on each site specifically.

    I hope this helps.
  • Eric · 4 months ago
Thanks so much for your response. One final question: with this strategy, how do you choose keywords to target? How many results in quotes to ensure the kw isn't too competitive and what level of search volume (in google kw tool) to ensure you actually get decent traffic?

    Thanks again.
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
The keywords that you target are those that are relevant to your site or the particular page you want to promote. Most of the time I do not focus on the main domain. I normally try to drive traffic to a page within my site and focus on what keywords are relevant to that particular page. This helps your domain gain ground as well by showing Google you have good content within your site.

Go to the Google External Keyword Tool, type in the Number #1 keyword that comes to mind for the page you want to promote. Anything which gets over 2000 searches per month is OK, of course we all want more, but fighting for small niches and winning will show you the profits you can gain from just one Number #1 position. If you do this for several smaller keyword groups instead of going after the 500,000 searches per month keywords, you are guaranteed to see results. Don't put your keywords in quotes. Use broad search because that is what your results will truly be based on.

Capturing a bunch of small search terms results in bigger results later because competition is lower and results come much faster.

Wow, awesome tips! I purchase MAC and MAS about a month ago but didnt know how well it worked with SEO Nuke and UAW.
  • Adam · 4 months ago
Great tips in this article, thanks. However i have a question. Have you ever used Power Article Rewriter? I've noticed with the MA spinner that rewriting sentences is akward, while with the PAR its quite simple to see what you've done. Unfortunately PAR won't let you save new synonyms, while MA does. Is there no program that does all these things in one?! ;->
  • Mike Johnson · 4 months ago
Check ou tthe Magic Article Rewriter and see if that does what you are looking for. The site has good videos that show you everything it does and they are 100% accurate.

    Hey mike,

Cool ideas! I own Mass Article Control but haven't used it much yet. Been thinking seriously about both UAW and SENuke. If you had to only pick one of these (UAW or SENuke) which would it be and why? Also I'm not clear how you load the MAC article(s) into UAW is it manually or through some type of submission process? Finally do you manually post to the ten article directories in Mass Article Submitter or do you use UAW or SENUke for this? Seems like Mass Article Submitter would be a bit time consuming.
