The only way it can hurt is if you post Bookmarks over and over again.
Bookmark your links on a random schedule. Spider your site's deep links and
post them to multiple Bookmarking sites once every 2 weeks. Bookmarking
should not be your promary link building tool.

Hey, I love your post here and will definitely look deeper into the practices with my own campaigns. I have recently discovered Bookmarking Demon and have some reservations about using it. I hear it is very powerful and could lead to over-linking in some cases. What are your recommendation for the settings so that this does not occur and hurt instead of help my efforts?

If EVO2 is working for you, great, but I have used SENuke since it came out
2 years ago and it continues to get better. I can't think of a better SEO
software than SENuke.

I use different tools for tracking like the IndexingTool and HitsLink. Plus
I check up on what links are indexed with tools like Scrapebox and Market
Samurai.

I have more tools than I have time to use them all and I try and test new
things constantly. I do use Market Samurai once and awhile for link
building but maybe in a different way that the norm. I love SENuke and it
is my Primary tool as well as all the Bot Software tools in my Software tab
listed here on the blog. I also use Bookmarking Demon, Web traffic Genius,
and a host of other plugins. the most important thing I do is I have a
system and I use my system all the time. having a system as opposed to just
throwing backlinks up on sites is half the battle. This technique listed
here, while it still works, is my old technique. I have a much more
sophisticated method I use now and it is really doing well for me. I will
be publishing it in the new Version of the Auto Blog Blueprint, so you will
get it for Free when it is released next month.

I haven't used traffic Bug, but it doesn't look any different than most of
the stuff I am already using. At $24.95 per month though it doesn't sound
bad. I haven't used SYNND either.

I really appreciate this article and will do my best to go through and implement it. But I have a couple of questions.

First what and how do you track everything, the folks at Mage were very forceful in their admonition NOT to use Google tracking or analytics on your site?

Secondly I know you use and love Market Samurai do you use their link builder at all, or do you just rely on SEnuke, what about Traffic Bug?

I have been using SYNND for most of my social bookmarking. Are you familiar with this and what are your thoughts?

Finally CBPredator is out today and it sounds like an autoblogging solution have you seen it or do you know anything about it?

I love your Autoblog Blueprint and I thank you for all the information you have provided. You make this very real which I appreciate.

A lot of times I write several titles and blurbs and use spinner syntax to
submit through SENke for variations in my Social Bookmarking links.

Your keywords are basically what you described and using them as your
categories is the preferred method, yes. The spun articles are used for the
UAW and then used for SENuke as well. Sometimes I add in more articles for
better distribution.

I would love to answer all of your questions here, but I would have to write
another complete article to do so. Sorry. I am in the middle of building
Version 2.0 of the Auto Blog Blueprint and my new and enhanced backlink
building methodology is included in that, thus I am very busy writing all
this stuff into a cohesive program of instruction.

this post is awesome, I was looking for a clear linkbuilding plan and your post really lay out a good step by step guide to follow, I really appreciate it. Just want to make sure if I understand it correctly, I have few questions:

1. Keywords-> Are these keywords "simply weight loss, slimming weight loss, fastest weight loss, and best weight loss programs" serve as the category of the website, and their related keywords will be posts under these category? Or you just create a 5 pages website and put all the related kws as LSI in all 5 pages?

2. Article Spinning-> Do you spin your articles 4 times, and use them for UAW submission, SENUKE, and LFE? As you mention "I have 4 spun copies of each article built specificlly for the Unique Article Wizard. "

3. Unique Article Wizard & Social Bookmarking-> Did you mean you use e.g. {simply weight loss|slimming weight loss|fastest weight loss|best weight loss programs} this type of anchor text in all the spun articles you submit at UAW?

5. SENuke-> Do you use all the web2.0 network sites to promote, and each web2.0 site will have only 1 post that will link back to a page of the money site, and each time you target a new keyword, you will create 1 profile(web2.0 and sb and rss sites) for each of them?

Final question about social bookmarking, since you use several social bookmarking tools and services, did you write a new blurb and spin it for each sb submission, or you just use grab a spun paragraph from the previous spun articles, or you just don't bother spinning it at all?

Hi Mike,
Thank you for sharing such valuable information. I have printed it out and go through them a couple of time. I still have some doubts on the maintenance part.

If I understand correctly, most link building activities are done in the first month. What happens after that? For the next few months or years to come, do you only do social bookmarking for maintenance?

I am thinking we can't do a lot of link building activities for long as majority of us build many websites in different niches. So how do we keep up with them if maintenance work is huge?

After just reading the sales letter and watching the videos I don't see how
link dozer could possibly be better than SENuke. They are very quiet about
what sites they submit to and the actual overall strategy. As for
Artificial Inteligence, I don't think so. I might test it out if I have
time. I have eaten my words more than once on programs like this, but
SENuke has improved month after month for over a year and a half now. That
is a commitment that you rarely see in the Internet Marketing software
niche. Everyone is going to claim that a new program is better in order to
rake in Affiliate Commissions. I am not ready to say anything until I see
it for myself.

ok, thanks for the quick reply. The site is linkdozer.com. Apparently linkdozer is less spammy but less automated than senuke, but has better long term results than senuke and also has built in spinner (I know results on senuke vary depending on how you use it). It's gotten good feedback on free forums like warrior and vita vee. If I go ahead with linkdozer will leave feedback here.

Here are a couple of things I was confused about (dont worry theres not that much really, its mostly quotes from your article!)

KEYWORDS + ARTICLES

"Now that I have my keywords, I place each one in the Google Search tool again and see all of the related keywords that go with them. I now create my website pages, reviews, articles, and social bookmarking blurbs. "

Okay, so here in the quote above you mean that you take your 4 base keywords that you've got, and write one article for each one, then write an article for each related keyword to your base keyword? (You say later: "I have by now created a minimum of one article for each keyword phrase.")

The anchor text within the articles - I understand that this should be one of your 4 base keywords/phrases, and it should not link to the homepage. But does the page it links to have to incorporate the same keyphrase/word as in the article's anchor text?

Also - the amount of keywords per site. So, you have 4 base keywords/phrases, then 4 related keywords/phrases for each base keyword. Totalling 20 keywords/phrases? Is that right?? My sites are small - some only 4 pages. I can barely cram 5-6 in there! Should i reduce the amount of keywords?

The other bit of the article I didnt understand was just this sentence:

" All of these either have the keywords in them and they have the related keywords."

Its just the inclusion of "either" that confuses me - do you mean:

"All of these either have the keywords in them OR they have the related keywords"
or
"All of these have the keywords in them and they have the related keywords"

SITE STRUCTURE + LINKS

There is also this part which I got a bit panicked about..I know this is one of the most important parts of the article as you refer back to it at the end, so I'd like to be clear on this and would appreciate your help:

"You have to ensure that you link all of your pages within your sites together,"

Do you literally mean add a link from every page of your site to every other page of your site? If so, what if you have a blog? you'd end up with huge long lists of links to every other post on your entire blog, plus every other page, on every page??

"...preferrably with a Silo type structure. "

I tried to find out but could not find anything that'd simply tell me what a silo is, either!

As you can see I've studied your article pretty hard, and am going to use it as a guideline for my first ever SEO project - thankyou very much!

Emma,

A lot of good questions here. First off, yes, you can use just Market
Samurai and SENuke and you can be successful. Especially if you are
focusing on one main website. The basic premise is this, the Keyword Anchor
text you use initially is your base keywords. This keyword(s) is the main
one you are focused on for your site. However, when you do your Google
Keyword Search, you will see a lot of related keywords. Look at this list
of keywords and you will pick which ones apply to your site and target
audience the most. Use these keywords in the text on your site's pages, in
Titles, and in your Meta Description and Meta Titles. Once you get done
with the base backlink strategy outlined here, then start working in these
supplemental keywords as Anchor Text keywords in your articles and at any
site you can submit to using SENuke.

Does this make sense? Do you need anymore specifics?

Thanks for this very insightful article. To give you an idea of my background, im intending to implement this strategy for my blog to try and get more hits for potential freelance modelling work. So, although im quite informed compared to the average person in my industry, im no expert, and i got a bit confused by some points of your article.

My main points of confusion are:

1) I have only the budget to use Market Samurai and SENuke, and can trial a good article rewriting program. Is this plan still for me as i may not be able to use the other software so may have to skip steps - i know id have to skip directory maximiser and Link farm evolution steps.

2) If this stil is for me, the one thing confusing me is: those extra keywords you search for after youve established your 4 related keywords to your base keywords, and how these extra keywords come into play in this SEO plan:

"I place each one in the Google Search tool again and see all of the related keywords that go with them." - so you search for more keywords related to your 4 keywords that you found from the intial base keywords? How many do you look for? And what do you use these extra keywords for?

Further quotes below come from intial confusion over those extra keywords you search for after youve already got your 4 main keywords.

"All of these either have the keywords in them and they have the related keywords." - i dont quite undertsnad this sentence. when you say 'the keywords in them' are you refering to your base keywords, or your more specific 4 keywords that youve got from your base keywords? when you say 'and the related keywords' do you mean 'or the related keywords'? And by related keywords do you mean the keywords related to your more specific 4 keywords, or the 4 keywords related to your base keywords?

"I use the spin feature in UAW to ensure I cycle through my 4 keyword anchor text phrases across each article, so I spread all of the keywords across all of the articles." - and do you mean by this that you vary what keywords you use within your anchor text across different variations of the same article? by 'keyword anchor text phrase' do you mean simply a link containing some of those 4 keywords you established within step 1, to the site youre trying to promote?

Sorry this is such a long post. I have also tried to bullet point your strategy in my own words as a test. It would be very helpful if you could clarify the above for me or even more so if youc could take a look at my bullet pointed version to see if i am getting what youre saying right.

I don't use Social Bookmarking as a "Backlink" tool. I use SOcial
Bookmarking as a Rank Management tool. I can flex my current rank of search
listings by submitting to social bookmarking sites. The ones that matter
that is. Yes, you are right, they have nofollow links on a bunch, but the
sites listed with Bookmarking Demon and SocialBot are focused on DoFollow
sites. Social Bookmarking to big sites like Digg and Mixx can have a
serious impact on your website's ability to move up in the listings. I use
it for every launch of every big product I do affiliate bonuses for and I
litterally watch my rank change. It is a beautiful thing.

A quick question if you don't mind..?
I have just taken a look at this Social Bookmarking Demon & yes it seems to be an amazing piece of software.

However we all know that the vast majority of Social Bookmarking / Networking sites are now using the "nofollow" meta tag, which, for those that do not know, means that any URL/link the search engines discover, that has the "nofollow" meta tag included, in most cases will not be crawled or followed !

There are a few exceptions that will actually follow a link regardless of the "nofollow" meta tag, but I am not aware of any that will actually recognise such a backlink or indeed that will pass any link juice / page rank to such a link..?

That being the case, I would love to know in what way you find this software a benefit in obtaining backlinks...?

I do normally outsource my article writing, but I write some of it myself as
well when I have time. I use 2 writers I found on Guru.com and one writer I
found on Freelancer.com. I now have relationships with all of them where I
give them work on a regular basis. These 2 sites have thousands of writers
like this and it is easy to find quality writers there who will bid on your
projects.
